Happy Tummy Fiber Fix

Ok let's talk fiber. You need it. I need it. but yet, the majority of us actually aren't getting enough of it because processed foods are lacking the essential nutrient. You'd think the answer would be just to stop eating processed foods and eat more whole foods, but most people can't stop, won't stop....(see what I did there?) SO the answer then, is to ADD fiber and nutrient dense foods to our diet.

Enter flax, chia seeds and hemp hearts. Any of you fabulous people out there eat these protein/fiber superstars?? If not, START NOW! The benefits are outrageous and they will also help you stay full longer, aka help you eat less food aka help you naturally lean out! And who doesn't want to be a lean, mean, fiber eating machine? I make this seed blend up about once a month and add 1/2 tsp to my Shakeology in the mornings!! It helps to keep me full and when paired with something as nutrient dense as Shakeo + a fruit, serves as a meal replacement!! Hello easy breakfast on the go! Ingredients:

1 cup flax meal (simply grind flax seeds in small coffee grinder for 30 seconds)

1 cup chia seeds

1 cup hemp hearts


Add ingredients to glass container and store in fridge. Add 1/2 tsp to smoothies, salads, yogurt, pancakes, etc.
