What better way to start the Holiday season off than with a BANG?! Chili chili bang bang, that is... (ha ha!) But in all seriousness, this easy peasy stove top chili will have your taste buds raising the roof and chanting for more! It's THAT good. Whether you put it on rice, mashed potatoes, quinoa, salad, toast, etc. I don't doubt this chili will become a staple in your household as it has in mine!! Especially on those cold winter days, when you need to be warmed from the inside out! So without further adieu, I present to you: CHILI CHILI BANG BANG!!
2 lbs ground beef
1 can chopped tomatoes
2 cans corn, drained
2 cans sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
2 jars tomato sauce (I use a garlic and onion one for added flavour)
1/2 large white onion, chopped
1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp olive oil 1 Tbsp garlic powder
3-4 Tbsp chili powder
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
1) Add oil to large pot or wok and heat on high. Add the ground beef when oil is warm and brown for 5 or so minutes. Drain excess juices if necessary.
2) Add chopped onions to meat and cook another 2-3 minutes.
3) Add the rest of the canned vegetables (make sure to rinse and drain the beans) and stir, cooking on medium heat for 5 minutes.
4) Add jars of sauce as well as spices. Mix in well. Let cook on low/medium heat for 20-30 minutes.
